Tribal Rug VI
Vintage 1930s-1950s tribal rug. Woven with colorful and fine threads of wool or a mixture of cotton, silk, lamb wool or goat hair. Originally used as a cover, protection from the cold or decoration for homes and tents of nomadic tribesmen throughout Central Asia. The weave is tight and woven in two pieces and sewn together down the center. This rug may have imperfections which contributes to its character and makes it one-of-a-kind. Excellent used condition. Handmade in Iran.
